To be honest...
It really didn't sound like dubstep to me. I was expecting more wobble in the bass. The really deep bass that plays through my subwoofer only came into it a minute in, and even then it was a pretty standard, plain bass.
Also, the flute (I think it's a flute, I'm pretty sure it's some form of woodwind instrument though) I expected would remain faithful to the original track. I was discussing with my friend that the first little flute bit that plays (From the start of it to when it goes from higher notes to an extended low note) should repeat itself. Like, it starts off with twenty seconds or so with wobbly bass, reminiscent of the original bass, then play that flute bit but with a longer extended low note, then the bass picks up with a whole change in how it wobbles, make it sound a lot faster, then the flute repeats, but this time continues on until it gets to the very high pitched extended note. Then more bass.
Then the string instrument (Again, unsure if it is or not) plays while the flute plays slightly more quietly in the background, only playing the first flute part again on a repeat, but playing the whole string part.
I've really only thought the first song through right now. Although I would love to have the whole thing play out with very similar bass, so it sounds like one complete song instead of several different ones like the old soundtrack did, and for each part, just have the speed of the wobble in the bass change to better suit the music.
I'll relay the song to my friend when he next gets online and see what he thinks. I'm certain the sample doesn't sound like dubstep though...
I suppose to help put forward an example of stuff I'd like it to sound like, the L-Wiz songs Girlfriend, Surreal and Strength. I'll send links to them as soon as I can over PM.
I do applaud you on a pretty decent remix though. Not exactly dubstep, but still good to listen to, which is why I gave this a seven. ^_^
